Donald James Cook passed away peacefully Sunday, April 11, 2021.
Don was a loving family man. He loved camping, fishing and hunting. Don taught himself how to do wood carvings. His family treasures all his carvings.
He was a Niagara Falls native, residing here his whole life. He worked as a Supervisor for Graphite Products for many years before retiring. He then worked as an exterminator. Don was owner and operator of "Don's Saw Sharpening".
Don was married to his true love, Aileen for 67 years, living in the same neighborhood for over 62 years. Don was a great neighbor and friend. He loved taking care of his home and yard on 94th Street.
Don was the husband of the late Aileen Cooke. He is survived by two daughters, Sue (Joe) Civiletto and Donna (Patrick) Gettings; three grandchildren and their spouses, Robert (Laura) Quarantillo; James (Annie) Quarantillo and Molly (Joe) Rex; five great-grandchildren, James, Lucy, Rose, Lilly and Leo. Don was the son of the late Burt and Anne Cooke; and brother of the late Duke Cooke.
We have grateful hearts for Our Lady of Peace 2East. Thank you so much for taking such tender loving care of our dad. Your experience, patience and kindness made him so comfortable. This was a great gift to Don, his daughters and family.
His family will be celebrating and remembering this great man at one of his favorite places, Bass Lake, Orillia, Canada.
Don started every morning telling us "It looks like a beautiful day."
