Margaret Maria Usiak was born January 7th, 1982 in Buffalo, NY. She entered into rest May 30th, 2020 at the age of 38. Margaret was a kind and generous soul. She was a hard worker with jobs at Tops in Lockport as a Scan Coordinator and at The Summit Center as the Assistant Library Media Specialist. She held degrees from Niagara County Community College, Bryant and Stratton, and a Masters of Library Sciences from the University at Buffalo. After her MLS, Margaret went on to complete an advanced graduate certificate in educational technology and new literacies at the University of Buffalo. Margaret had an infectious laugh and a passion for all thing's tech, especially if it helped her students at The Summit Center. As a one-time student there herself, she found her voice and passion in helping students find theirs. When not working she could be found in nature, enjoying the forest or playing in the water. She also would spend time indulging in her love of music by attending concerts. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert Darrow, her loving parents James and Barbara Usiak, her sister and partner-in-crime, Jessica Usiak-Alvarez and her adoring nephew, Caleb Alverez.
