Patricia (nee McCarthy) Bernard, age 76, formerly of Tonawanda, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. Born January 9, 1942 in Cuba, New York, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Leta (nee Goff) McCarthy.

She was the wife of the late Ward H. Bernard, who died May 14, 1999; mother of Susan (Stephen) Porter of Cheektowaga, Sandra (George) DeVey of Lockport, Tracy (Peter) Gagliardo of Tonawanda, and Ward (Brenda) Bernard of Lubbock, Texas; grandmother of Patricia (Robert) Klumpp, Herbert (Grace) DeLine, Noel (Jeffery) Fazzino, Christopher (Amanda) Cheasty, Jennifer Cheasty, Kymberly DeVey, Tiffany (Kevin) Czrzanowski, Tara (Robert) Kinney, Katelin (Jonathan) Pericozzi, Peter Gagliardo, Julie Gagliardo, Ashley (Steven) Williams, Jordan Cox, and Ryan Stewart; sister of Michael McCarthy, Katherine McCracken, Linda (Ralph) Mastracci, Daniel (Patricia) McCarthy, William McCarthy, Anne Merritt, and the late James McCarthy; and sister-in-law of Della (nee Bernard) Revelle. Also surviving are 19 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery.
