William “Bill” Misko of Wheatfield New York
On February 2, 2021, aged 61, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Born in North Tonawanda, NY. Son of the late Carol A. (nee Kolb) Hils and John Hils. He retired after serving 20 years in the US Marine Corps and another 21 years in government service with Customs and Border Protection. He received a bachelor’s degree from National University and a master’s degree from Michigan State. Bill was an avid woodworker and created fine furniture in his spare time. He enjoyed hunting, competitive pistol target shooting, and playing chess.
Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruth Benton-Misko, his two daughters; Sarah (Scott) Welker of Shelby MT and Rachel (Rueben) Hand of North Tonawanda, NY and 3 grandchildren; Taryn, Roscoe and Rollie. Also survived by sisters; Debbie (Gerald) Malfeo of Naples FL, Cindy (Mario) DeMarchis of Williamsville NY, Joanne (Dale) Winters of Thomson GA, Wendy (John) Pellow of Lewiston NY, and brother John (Karen) Hils of North Tonawanda NY, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Interment with Military Honors at Acacia Park Cemetery.
